Lots of fun adventures today, and I’m about to head out for one more. Today at Matanzas Creek Vineyard, I met a cool beekeeper from Marshall’s honey and learned a whole lot about Being Calm. Spencer told me that bees, like dogs, can pick up on anxiety, and get suspicious. They think you are up to no good.

Sweet Deliverance NYC

Spent today in New York, to do a video interview with Kelly Geary. We met up at her at her company, Sweet Deliverance. She’s one of the Tart & Sweet authors, and you’ll be able to read some of her recipes when the Aug/Sep issue goes on sale. We got to taste some Strawberry Rose jam. So good! 0616_0029

So hot. As soon as I crushed mint into iced tea, lemon basil into lemonade and poured myself a tall drink of water, the sky opened up and quenched my thirst.

My lilies have opened, it’s officially summer in my mind. This photo is a snap shot, to remind me to spend time with the slr and the lilies when I get home. I wish these red and orange blooms would last all summer.
